Microsoft has announced price changes of their cloud server licensing. These changes will mainly impact server licensing, RDS licensing, Microsoft 365<\/a> applications licensing.<\/p>\n

Windows Server 2022 and Office 2021<\/h2>\n

Windows Server 2022<\/strong>, the next Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) release, makes it possible for customers to run their business applications with confidence in different environments, from cloud to Microsoft Azure. It was made available in-Service Provider Licence Agreement (SPLA) starting September 2021.<\/p>\n

Windows Server 2022 introduces advanced multi-layer security and hybrid capabilities with a flexible application platform. It is bringing secured-core capabilities to Windows Server to secure systems that would run workloads on Windows Server 2022. It is based on technologies such as Windows Defender System Guard and Virtualization-based Security to minimize risk from firmware vulnerabilities and advanced malware. It also provides faster and more secure encrypted HTTPS connections, industry standard SMB AES 256 encryption and more.<\/p>\n

Office LTSC<\/strong> (Long-Term Service Channel), the next version of the Office perpetual release is now also available in SPLA.<\/p>\n
